Cure for the winter blues

Even though it's not really winter, it's definitely not spring or summer. February is a tough month to get through over here. Work is busy (it's the end of the school year) and when the rain comes it's just plain dreary. So I've splurged (not unusual) and got myself some sure-fire pick-me-up!!

hey! where did you find that? On amazon? We don't get any sesame street anymore, and the new stuff just isn't as good as the old stuff...way too concerned with social issues for my taste for one thing and Elmo is okay, but he baby talks! Harder to get your kids to talk properly when that is what they listen to. (okay I am done ranting)
These guys have a couple of dvds...counting, abcs and they all have clips from those old classics.
Hmmm...is it Canadian or American? I would love to find the "this is me inside my house, on my steet......and my country is Canada!"
Oh ya...and of course your mom has introduced them to "the monster at the end of this book". They LOVE it!

I got it from Amazon Japan. The problem with ordering from them is that it's too fast. If I want something they'll deliver within a day or two!!! Too tempting.
Yes, it's the American version -I too would love all the Canadian shorts. But it's still worth it. Watching the first disk last night was like time travel! I felt like I was 4 again. Or 6, or 9...who am I kidding, I watched Sesame Street well into my teens, and if it hadn't changed so much like you mentioned I would probably have continued watching it.

The first DVD (there are three in the set) shows the full original first episode as well as the promotional video that was produced to sell the show to networks. It's really interesting. And watching the muppets and other characters as an adult is soooo different than as a child -so everything is entertaining in a totally different way!!
