I ate whale for lunch today.

For real and for true.

My question is: What kind of whale was it???????

HOW WAS IT??

You are eating meat that is used for scientific research? They use it for school lunches? What kind of research is it?

I sure hope that in their research they discovered that it was killed by a whaling vessel, didn't undergo any tests and was just as edible as the hundreds of other whales. The world just wouldn't have all this precious information with out those hard working Japanese scientists! Maybe it wasn't Minke, though. It could even have been a protected Fin whale caught illegally! Sweet!

Try to stay away from other sea life that is high in mercury, PCB and other toxins until your body works through enough to prevent complete nervous system collapse. Definitely no dolphin for you (recently dolphin sold in Japan has been found to have mercury levels beyond the "safe" limit.) Biomagnification is a real bitch!

If you are curious. Here's info about Japan's whale reserch.

That page is full of information. I didn't know that the Minke whale is responsible for the reduction of food in the world's oceans. I had always thought it was the massive human fishing fleets aided by helicopters and high tech net systems.

Adam, I'm detecting some sarcasm in your post. No?

Kazz, are your for or against eating whale?

Ooooh...for some reason today I have a blogger id. I don't know what you mean about the sarcasm bit. I still have your money. Should have given it to Rob I suppose. Wicked videos up in those other posts. The snow was great on Sat but got a bit icy on Sun at the bottom of Goryu at about 2. The top was still great, though. Why am I writing all this? Who knows. Have a good one.
