ewwww


my lunch today














see the little chunks of gunk in there...it's called surimi and it's nasty.

ground fish meat -it's all gelatinous and slightly gritty.

ha ha ha....welcome to our life of school lunch. luckily you'll probably only have to eat it a few times a term. and the kids usually don't mind it. just start giving it away!

the worst part is...it's gray! it's gray matter! it looks like ground brains! no joke!

I find the pink fish-things that are all too frequent over here even more gross...

no no no, at least the pink things only have one texture!

this stuff is gelatinous and gritty at the same time. it's like eating fishy jello gobs with sand in them.

gag.

but today made up for the goo.

we had curry rice!!

...although we also had a hard boiled egg wrapped in ground beef and deep fried...with ketchup -which I'm not a fan of.

ok....that egg thing sounds weird. i've NEVER heard of anything like that.

i just finished correcting 100 essays about "the best part of school life". Almost all the students wrote that school lunch was their favorite part of school. Some even said that the food was better than their mother's cooking! Wow!
